Neues Training
Endlich haben wir wieder ein Training in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen. Die neue Location befindet sich direkt am Südbahnhof und ist leicht zu finden:

Das Training findet zweimal in der Woche jeweils Dienstags und Freitags um 19.00 Uhr statt. Der Eingang zur Halle befindet sich seitlich am Schulgebäude (Glastür). Bitte kommt pünktlich, da die tür verschlossen ist. Falls ihr dennoch zu spät kommen solltet, findet ihr am Eingang drei klingeln. Bitte benutzt die Klingel zur Gymnastikhalle, denn dort befindet sich auch das Training.

Hochschulsport an der Uni Frankfurt im Winter Semester 2009
Der
neue Kurs startet zusammen mit dem neuen Semester
am 28.10.2009. Es handelt sich dabei um einen Anfängerkurs,
der Grundschritte und Einblicke vermittelt. Mitmachen
kann jeder der Lust und Zeit hat. Der Einstieg ist
jederzeit möglich und eine Teilnehmerbeschränkung
gibt es auch nicht. Genauere Infos gibt es vor Ort.

Batizado 2009 in Novalja / Croatia
Congratulations
to everybody, who received a new cordao at the
Batizado. Those of you who received the first
one are now officially baptized and member of
the capoeira community. Don't forget... you
will always remember this moment. Furthermore,
we want to thank verybody, who participated
and helped to organize this amazing event. We
hope that you had a great time and enjoyed all
the workshops, parties as well as the beach. Last but

Batizado in Instanbul
In January our group in Turkey / Istanbul celebrated its first Batzado. Congratulations to everybody, who received his first cordao and welcome to the capoeira Jacobina Arte comunity. Special congratulations go to Prof. Santo, who received his Prof. graduation.
Brazil Tour 2010
As every year Mestre Pitbull organizes a trip to Brazil in order to visit the country, people and our group! This time it is going to take place from 25.03. - 11.04.2010. Lots of people, especially from Greece will attend, so feel free to join anytime. Since it is difficult for some people to stay over 3 weeks, there various opportunities to come for just a week or two, join later or leave earlier. Anyway, ask for more details in class...

New Capoeira Movie
“Beetle” tells the “true story” of Besouro, a Capoeira master living in 1920s Brazil. The film’s title comes from the name Besouro Manganga, which is a large and dark species of maybug.
According to legends surrounding the historical figure, Besouro was known to vanish whenever he was faced with an uneven fight. This grew into the myth that Besouro had supernatural powers and could dodge bullets and even turn himself into a beetle to scare his opponents.
More grounded details on Besouro suggest he was a rebellious migrant worker who frequently used his Capoeira skills to get into physical conflicts with landowners and police. He died in 1924 at the age of 27 after suffering stab wounds from a knife.
Ku Huan-chiu serves as action director. His credits include stunt doubling for Jet Li in “The Tai-Chi Master” and “Once upon a time in China and America”, as well as recent AD work on CJ7 and “THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR”, and also “Kill Bill”.
“Beetle”, a co-production between Buena Vista and Brazil’s Mixer and Globo Filmes is currently shooting.

you all to our Summer Camp. This year it is going to take
place in Novalja on the island Pag, which is knows as the Croatian Ibiza and
therefore one of the most famous places. This means one week of pure Capoeira, rodas, workshops,
fun, party and a lots of sun at one of the nicest
beaches... So everybody, regardless of his/her group

9th anniversary of Capoeira Jacobina Arte
The 9th anniversary of our group is going to take place from the 12-15th November. Like every year manyinternational guests and visitors are expected to come to Thessaloniki in Greece. More details will be announced soon. Nevertheless, try to book your tickets as early as possible, since ticket rices won’t get cheaper :)

Kindertraining
in Groß Krotzenburg
Für alle interessierten gibt es jetzt im Raum Hanau bzw. Seligenstadt auch Kindertraining. Das ganze findet jeden Samstag in der Turnhalle der Geschwister Scholl Schule in Groß Krotzenburg statt.Geeignet ist das Training für Kinder zwischen 6-12 Jahren.
